POETRY: Messing about with AA BB, with occasional additions

It’s got the spirit, but I think the AABB four line structure governs the true Clerihew.

To my shame, since I have spent decades 'teaching' poetry and how to write poems, I had to google 'Clerihew'

the one with the teeth
was mum's
chum
How often over supper did
My father wink at me? He hid
his dislike
of politicos and other types
who gloat
and smote
me with the flicker lent his eye
to get by
Fun challenge. I think the metre is meant to be more irregular but I can’t help myself:
Auteur, enigma: Woody Allen
To whose sins we now add pallin’
Round with those whose crimes appall
Still, I do love Annie Hall!
